United Way, Ohio Wesleyan, Others Partner to Support Multi-Cultural Center (Jun 01, 2007)
When the United Way-led DelawareCares community needs assessment was conducted several years ago, the need for a multicultural center, particularly to serve the needs of Delaware's Spanish-speaking residents, "bubbled right to the surface," says United Way President Kathy Tatterson Kreuchauf.
And now the center is a good idea that will become reality. Ohio Wesleyan University has been selected as a host site for an Ohio Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, who will help to establish a multicultural center in Delaware. The center will offer services and support to Delaware's Latino community while expanding service learning opportunities at OWU. Click here to read more about this exciting new project...
